The part that matters
Every tour on this site costs more than the museum’s own ticket. The Galleria Borghese charges €16 plus a €2 obligatory reservation fee, €18 all in. The cheapest product listed here is €35 and the dearest is €109. I am paid on the ones I link to and not on the museum’s own €18 ticket, and I recommend the €18 ticket anyway whenever it is available for your date, because it is the cheapest option that fits. That is the rule: cheapest thing that does the job, whether or not it pays.
The Villa Borghese park is free, and I earn nothing from anybody who reads what is free, decides they only wanted a walk in a park, and closes the tab. That reader has been served correctly and the site has done its job. Villa vs. Galleria is the page that tells most people they need to spend less than they thought.
What the commission does not do
It does not set the order of the tours, the ratings, or which one I call the best. The ratings and review counts are read off each activity’s own page and reproduced without adjustment, including the low ones. The golf cart tour rates 4.2 from 59 reviews and does not include the museum, and it says so at the top of its review, which is not how you would write it if the commission were in charge.
